ETS的解释有个地方不太明白： 说原句里面 introduces the unidiomatic phrase lack of some other doctor.  some other doctor 感觉不太对，但是ETS究竟什么意思？ 是说 lack of 不对吗？

查了菜鸟OG里面的解释说 这是托福错误，不明白。

lack of 一般是与抽象名词合用，如：courage一类的

I think 'lack of doctors' or 'lack of testimony of some other doctors' will be better. Perhaps the unidiomatic phase refers to 'lack of some ...'

不知道是不是菜鸟OG的意思是some other doctor应当是another doctor??

偶觉得应该是GMAT语法错误。there be后面不跟抽象名词，而只能跟实意名词，如一条河啊，沟啊之类的。这里lack of some other doctor的中心词是lack抽象名词。

查了一下字典，发现some other似乎只能跟time，已成固定用法。大家要是发现有其他的正确用法请贴上来。谢谢！

some other后面接单数 不可计算名词，故some other doctor不可以。

补充一点：就是testify得问题，与后面为划线部分联系就是testify about－错误得表达形式：testify后面可以直接接宾语或者与to连接。

testify against     作不利于...的证明
testify to             证明, 证实

testify about/ to  proper medical procedures. 是指证明有proper医疗程序,  逻辑有误,

而another doctor's testimony about....   是指 关于 有无 proper医疗程序 的证明.
