我觉得B这里啰嗦不啰嗦不是焦点，关键的是整体的逻辑关系错误了。如版主说的，A中说了两点，the average output of ironwork tripled的原因，1是因为：(as a result of) several improvements in blowing machiner，2是因为： （and
because） coal replaced charcoal as the fuel used in the smelting of
iron
ore。这两个原因缺一不可，B中没有了因果关系的连接词，错。这种题不宜扣得太细，出题人主要考察逻辑关系。还有一点是时间状语，只有A把时间状语用
“，”和整句分开，放在句首，让逻辑关系清楚明白，其他的都比较含糊，也不符合英文的表达习惯。

同意这个解释

B选项对两个原因的表示不够明确

A.      Over the course of the eighteenth century, the average output of ironwork tripled as a result of several improvements in blowing machinery and because coal replaced charcoal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore. A 不是形式对称而是功能对称。

B.      Over the course of the eighteenth century a tripling in the average output of ironwork was due to the replacement of charcoal by coal for the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore, in addition to several improvements in blowing machinery.
        改意，且将动词名词化，不好,

C.       With charcoal’s being replaced by coal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore and several improvements in blowing machinery, the average output of ironwork tripled over the eighteenth century.
             With one’s being done不是独立主格

D.      The replacement of charcoal with coal for the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore and several improvements in blowing machinery, the average output of ironwork tripled over the eighteenth century.
        逗号前面是名词型独立主格，但是很容易和同位语结构混淆，而且将原来主句内容改成从句内容，不好（N.做独立主格可以参看白勇语法第一章）

E.      Charcoal being replaced by coal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore, and several improvements in blowing machinery, which tripled the average output of ironwork over the course of the eighteenth century.
        没有主句

B is due to 不对  貌似due to只能做原因状语 不能做表语 

C 里面有两个错 1 being 要省 2 即使省了charcoal’s being replaced by coal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore and several improvements in blowing machinery也不对称 N1's being doing 和 N2不对称

恰恰相反  due to正确的选项都是作表语的  Due to放在句首一般都出现在错误选项中
