独立主格结构里面有个，名词+过去分词 的构成形式，所以就是 as（名词） seen（过去分词） in the rings。。。

我觉得如果as引导了从句的话，后面应该用as is seen in the rings。。。不是吗？怎么能缺少动词呢

我觉得上面的说法都有问题。

1、不是独立主格，独立主格需要有另一个独立主语，这里没有。as ____ seen...根本没有另一个主语。

2、不是定语从句，定语从句语法上完全独立;这里 as____seen.....没有完整谓语。


这里根本就是一个 带连词的 as引导的非限定比较状语分句。
