Each and every student has his/her own study habit. A fair proportion of students prefer to study alone, while others argue that studying with a group is more efficient. As far as I am concerned, studying with a group has more benefits. There are two conspicuous reasons as follow. No issue is more important than this one that when studying with a group, discussing and debating become possible, which is instrumental to develop critical thinking skills. Students can discuss any problems they encounter during studying, and sometimes many problems can even be solved unconsciously when discussing, as a result, students could learn better about the courses. Moreover, discussing and debating simultaneously cultivates students' good sense of cooperation, which is usually considered as an essential virtue. Furthermore, another chief and head reason is /beside my preference lies an equally important fact that learning with a group is conducive to study more efficient. While reference is not easily accessible, and students’ knowledge varies from one to another, they can complement each other, and therefore save much time and energy. At the same time, when having a rest, students could talk some interesting things, such as jokes, or play games with each other, which could make students relax from heavy works for a while, and hence make them more energic to study again for them. After all, all work and no play make jack a dull boy. Admittedly, studying alone also has some merits, such as keeping focus on study easily. However, the benefits of studying with a group far outweigh those of studying alone. Thus, the conclusion is most striking and obvious. To sum up, taken into account all aspects mentioned above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, it is not hard to conclude that studying with a group is better than studying alone, not only because it makes discussion possible, it is also instrumental to study efficiently.
