題目是:鄉隨俗還是保留自己國傢的習俗?下麵是小女子寫的文章,請大家幫忙評價下,哪裏需要改進,謝謝 Different country has different custom. When people move to another country, it is inevitable that they face the choice between following the tradition there and hold their original one. Quite a few would claim that keep their own custom would feel more homelike and comfortable, but others, in contrast, consider obeying the local manner as the primary choice and that is also my point.
“Do in Rome as Rome does”. How often we hear such words like these. Accustoming myself to the customs of the new country, not only would I get faster and easier to familiar to the surrounding, but also make me avoid the unnecessary conflict with local people. Take the word “maybe” for example, while it means “no” in Canada, maybe means an uncertain reply in America. Imagined that we are American and move to Canada, how many problems would come along if we adhere to our own way of life.
Another reason to support my point is that following the customs of the new country enables me to show my respect and kindness to the new country and its people. At the same time, it helps to get along well with local resident and solve problem smoothly and favorably. For example, in America, nod means agree. But also means “I am listening” in China, additionally. If we still insist on continuing to use our own custom, misunderstanding emerges in all probability, especially in business.
On the other side of the coin, following the local tradition of the new country unnecessarily mean we need to abandon our original tradition. If we are skillful and familiar with the custom of new country thoroughly, we can introduce some of our custom to the friends around us step by step to their acceptable extent.
In conclusion, as the old proverb says, “whoever understands the signs of the time is a great man. I draw the conclusion that we indeed need to follow the customs of the new country when we move to another. And keeping in mind, while in Rome, do as the Rome does.
