A. most of them as large or larger than Jupiter, which circle B. most of them as large or larger than Jupiter and circling C. most of them as large or larger than Jupiter, circling D. mostly at least as large as Jupiter, which circle E. mostly at least as large as Jupiter, circling
The official key is C. My questions is, the last phrase "circling" in C is a modifier. A modifier usually modifies the last word of the preceding sentence/phrase. So in this case, "circling" should modify "Jupiter". But is Jupiter circling other stars? Did the sentence not mean to say that those newly detected 80+ planets are circling other stars?
Unfortunately though, C is grammatically correct. >.< 30.
