MSA at UIUC is good for some people but very bad for others.
Bottom line: If you want a quality education you should not go there. If you want a easy degree and study CPA exam at the same time you should go there. You don't even have to go to classes very often especially during the second semester.
I am in Chicago area and I have met many who told me that UIUC was the right place for them. However, even more outstanding MSA students told me that "had I known it I would not have gone to UIUC." My advice to anyone who wants to go to MSA at UIUC is that you need to make sure you know what you are going to get. However, you can just walk in Michigan, Notre Dame, BYU, UNC, Texas, W&M etc and be very confident.
In fact, I have a dream too that no international/Chinese student will go to MSA at UIUC. U of I will be forced to have only one accounting masters' program. I know most of the faculty members there and many of them taught me (including Ira). I never hesitate to tell them that I think the way MSA operates is borderline unethical.
"UIUC是一个综合性的大型公立大学,财力很雄厚..." That is not totally true. MSA is the cash cow program!! International students are viewed as the ATM.
Since I love U of I so much I really hope that the Accountancy Department can operate the MSA program in a classy way. Michigan, Notre Dame and Texas can do it. Why not U of I??
Go Illini!! I-L-L I-N-I
Long time no see How are you? I am always a faithful fan of your speech. To Kids.W, not everyone can get in any school on your recommended list. |
