LZ. I would like to say sth. about your background. Honestly, your background is not very strong. You can search on this forum my thread regarding to Top MFE program application and preparation. I'm not kidding, regardless of what Mr. Klex said, your chance of getting offers from Top 5-8 MFE program in the US is slim... However, if you are based in Canada now, things might be different. Comparatively, Canada MFE programs are more or less strict at "hard" scores (G,T,transcript), they also might prefer applicants based in Canada. As far as I know, UofT, Uof Waterloo, UBC all have decent MFE/MF programs. I know a girl who had BA economics in China and moved to Canada. Just like you, she made up some courses in UofWaterloo and successfully got a master offer from MS Actuarial Science from Waterloo. She is now pursuing her PhD in Actuarial Science. |
