以下是引用caterpillar在2004-1-12 0:44:00的发言: 25.The end of the eighteenth century saw the emergence of prize-stock breeding, with individual bulls and cows receiving awards, fetching unprecedented prices, and excited enormous interest whenever they were put on show. (A) excited (B) it excited (C) exciting (D) would excite (E) it had excited 答案是C。 答案倒是做对了,但对句子结构还是稀里糊涂。有谁能帮我分析一下句子结构吗?The end of the eighteenth century saw the emergence of prize-stock breeding是一种倒装吗?在什么情况下用?
In my understanding, I think this is not a hyperbaton, caz it could not be reversed . You see we can not say the emergence of .... saw the end of the eighteenth century.
