In my understanding, I think this is not a hyperbaton, caz it could not be reversed . You see we can not say the emergence of .... saw the end of the eighteenth century.

这个不是倒装，而是一种拟人化的表达手法。

比如，二十世纪目睹了翻天覆地的变化。

不是倒转，应该是WITH 引导的独立主格结构，WITH +宾语+宾语补足语。
