以下是引用gowell在2004-1-12 22:24:00的发言: Dancindream, we definitely should meet up somewhere as our target schools are so similar!
Allow me to guess, you two are definitely aim at IB job after MBA, right? By the way, if you're going to attend Wharton, can you tell Chicago GSB to drop the offers and give other Chinese applicant two more seats? Thanks a lot!
danceindream, Thanks for your prompt reply. Wow, Wharton! That's even better. It is worth a louder "Congrat!", although it is late a bit! But I guess that we won't meet in the classroom by any chance then. Just curious about your background, such as gamt, gpa, and work experiences. Can you share those with me? gowell, can you share those information with me, too? Thanks.
I had phone interview with Chicago GSB alum back in Oct. It was a pretty standard MBA interview and lasted about 30 minutes.
The interview is blind, meaning that your interviewer did not read your application and will only have your resume in front of him or her. It usually starts with a question like "Walk me through your resume". Be sure to have answers as to how you made academic/professional choices along the path, such as why this major, why this school, why this company etc. As danceindream said, be prepared to answer the student activities you would be involved at the GSB. You also need to cover your extra-curricular, community services, career goals, why MBA, why now and why GSB.
You usually get a few minutes to ask your interviewer questions at the end.
Other than the above, just relax and be yourself. Try not think about your interview too much once you are done. The more you reflect on your interview, the more you start to worry. You never really know how your interview goes, so don't waste your time worrying about things you no longer have control.
For my stats, I've posted the info in other posts. Just do a search and you will find it. Please do not focus too much on stats as they are only a part of the whole application.
I"m impressed by both gowell and danceindream's excellent job in application this year. I believe they have some credentials to share, I mean more specifically.
Though stats are not that important, however it's something that we can see where we are in the application pool. So wonder if you guys can share a little bit more about your stats includint scores, W/E, Location, and which school you want to go.
