A friend of your has received some money and plans to use all of it either 1. to go on vacation 2. to buy a car Your frined has asked you for advice. Compare your friend’s two choices and explain which one you think your friend should choose. Use sepcific reasosn and details to support your choice. I would suggest my friends to utilize the money wisely. I would definitely suggest my friend to go on a vacation. By choosing to go on a vaction , he will get quite a few of benefits that he can hardly get from buying a car.
The most importatnt benefit of going on vacation is that traveling will be an excellent opportunitiy for him to broaden his perspective and understand different cultures. As Mark Twain said: “ Traveling is the only way to reduce bias and bigotry”. I gained a global perspective through my vacation to South Africa in 2002. Before that trip, my perception of Africa was very myopic and limited. I truly enjoyed exploring African cultures and sharing my ideas with the indigenous people there. Going on a vaction will inspire my friend to be a more open-minded and well-rounded individual.
The other benefit of going on a vacation, which buying a car almost cannot achieve, is that one has greater enjoyments going to a great quantities of exordinary places. When I was in South Africa, I really enjoyed immersing myself in the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. Why, because the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean shared the same physical border in South Africa. Isn’t that amazing? I also went to the well-known Cape of Good Hope and Robin Island. Besides taking tours to these great places, I took a multitude of photos. These benefits, are hardly for my friend to enjoy in the little car.
The last reason, in my own perspective, weights the most because of its far-reaching impact. Buying a car will, as a result, emits more carbon dioxide per person than traveling does per person. As a global citizen, we have the responsibility to save our planet. It’s a constructive advice for my friends to not buy a car. I believe will feel the same, too.
In conclusion, I harbor the idea that using the money for a vacation has more advantages for my friend than for a car. Going on a vacation not only brings more enjoyment to my friend but also helps shape my friend to be a well-rounded person. Furthermore, it also helps foster a responsibility in my friend’s future.
