问几个白勇语法中的问题

这两天看白勇语法，发现几个不太明白的地方，求教各位帮忙解释一下

1）白勇里面关于平行结构一章说宾语从句后的than不能省略，但是在这个章的第34题里面给的解释又是than后宾语从句后省略了that,

      Despite protest from waste disposal companies, state health offical have ordered  the levels of bacteria in sea water at popular beaches to be measured  and that the results be published.

      Correct answer: E      that the levels of bacteria in sea water at popular beaches to be measured  and the results          

       白勇给的解释是and 后面省略了that 直接跟the rusults be published. 

       所以这点我有些不太明白，到底宾语从句后面可不可以省略that.

2) 白勇中有18题，

    Once the economic and social usefullness of the motor car was domonstrated  and with its superitority to the horse
        being proved, much of the early hostility to it in rural regions disappeared

    B. and its superitority over the horse had been

    C. and its superitority to the horse

    正确答案是B，可是我的问题是C里面也可以理解为一种并列啊，proved 前面省略了was, 与the economic and social usefulness并列

    白勇的解释是C里面and连接once 和its superiority，不对称。

    我有些不太理解

3）白勇非谓语动词一章的12题

     In addition to having more protein- than wheat does,the protein in rice is high quality than that in wheat ~

     白勇给的解释中说介词或介词短语+现在分词，逻辑主语等于句子主语。这里面的现在分词是不是应该是动名词啊，我记得以前学过的语法，现在分词是不能当宾语的，只能当宾语补足语。

4）白勇第五章的34题

     It's an over simplified view of cattle raising to say that all one has to do with cattle is leave them alone while they feed themselves, control them, and to drive them to market when the time is ripe.

     白勇的解释中有一个句子结构，all sb have to do is do...and do. 其中is do 中省略了to,我想问的是to 是不是只在这样的句子结构中省略，在其他的句子中如果有be to do 出现的话，to 是不能省略的。

回答下第二个问题，我第一次就做对了，我这样想的，and前面是一句完整的句子，后面应该也是一句完整的句子。LZ对B的分析我觉得有两个问题，1：原文的逻辑意思完全没理解，或者是理解了被你改变了。2：对称点要找对，不要抓进篮里都是菜
