A few sharing on application -

I personally see real uniqueness and cultural fit with Insead. They target very specific applicants and set quantitive criteria at beginning.

1) ibt >105   2) gmat V/Q both > 70%  3) 2 entry language (for Chinese applicant, English+Chinese)

These're mandatory - Adcom will suggest you retake GT if they're interested in you but score is a only barrier.

Alumni interviews are casual and pleasant. My first interviewer is a swiss graduated early 90s and now work in China as a GM. We chat in a fun but transparent and deep way. He directly tells he'll recommend me. The other interviewer is from Singopore, younger and graduated 5y ago. No direct hint but feedback is positive.

After silent for ages, I didn't receive call but a mail 1 day before deadline for acceptance. Hope is always a good thing, maybe the best thing in the world.

A new journey starts in Fonty Jan09.

My V is 70%. I hope it's OK. It seems that IBT is quite important now. What about AWA? Do they really care about that?

Frankly, chance is low. With euro 50,000 tuition invested, >2y w/e enhances mutual value added.

I think the right answer is: global perspective/experience is an essential part of applying for INSEAD. We have had students who have never worked, but they definitely have had valuable experiences that are outside of schools, ie, military, sports, etc. And frankly, it would be very difficult for you to participate in class discussions and group projects if you have minimal working experiences/knowledge to share and contribute. The whole point of case studies and group projects at any MBA is for everyone to contribute and share their thoughts.
