People can learn more from watching television than reading books I generally agree upon one of statements above that people can learn a lot form reading books and especially for students. Since in order to improve themselves, students usually borrowed many reference from library to read. Nevertheless, in some exceptional instance, watching TV can be brings more knowledge, may be more appropriate or even necessary, to people. The virtues of watching television are undeniable. various programs and channels provide people more wide view of a certain kind of problem and knowledge. Like National Geographic, a well-known program which is widespread recognized among many countries, offering different cultures, scientific and technique knowledge to me. Since I’m a law student, one of my primary tasks of study program is analyze and discuss wide range of law cases. I usually cited information from NG to debate with my classmates as an example. The other advantage of watching TV is obviously. It is an efficient and effective means to save money for student. As a student, it is usually to confront financial problem and the awful expenditure on books can disrupt my life on the other aspect such as traffic fee. I live in a small town where from my school with a long distance so I have to spend more time and money on driving or taking public transportation. Hence watching TV can offset some of my cost on life. Because there many professional programs are suitable to what I want to study. Admittedly, it is true that reading book can improves us in one or several specific aspects, but it is an ingredient of improvement and not the key. Reading can helps students understand what they want to specialize in more easily. However a law reference can not supply adequate cases to student to understand the some of principles of law codes and clauses. When students finish reading, they may be confused by the text if they don’t looking for other book as supplement. In conclusion, although watching TV has some limitations such as some people may be missed the helpful program because extra work and inflexible program. Watching TV may probably more appropriate or adequate for people than other medium.
