First of all, I think this is definitely a strong profile. I share some similar exp. as yours .... and below are several thoughts I've got for all people sharing the same background .... 

1. Be careful of the PHD -> M.A./M.S. status, it could be a risky topic -- If I were you, I might not bring it up unless I have to.

2. For the "study and work in both US and China" thing, I think the exp itself would not serve as an advantage for you, but leveraging that exp to show deeper understanding of multi-culture would serve as an edge -- but it is hard! (at least I am struggling a lot here...

3. No IB/Consulting exp -- you are lucky you are not in the big pool as i have to face !! Especially for IB, if you are applying for 2009, you might wanna wish you are not from that industry... it gonna be really competitive this year, given so many layoffs going on there...

I am not bulling myself here. Yes, I'm confident but I'm also realistic, that's why I made a post here. If you don't believe yourself, why would you apply?

Frankly speaking, I'm not thinking of a "strategy" of the application, though I've been thinking about something that is important to the issue: like the classic 'who I am, what I want to do and who I would be'.

No matter what others think, one has to follow his/her own heart. I only want to give courage to those who have the same goals like me, and will not negativate myself before the application. Being positive is my attitude. As I said, I will accept any result. I agree the application of PhD is out of my control, so is the MBA application. What I can do is only try my best. 

I'll learn from your guys' sincere response to my post. Hopefully, next year, I will share my result with my friends and all the other applicants or potential applicants no matter it is a Yes or No.

As a final successful candidate, you have to pass 2 rounds of Chinese interviews and 2 rounds of English interviews conducted by NUS. Please show your respect to other students who are in the program. And also check your own personality before commenting on others'...

我这里说的容易是和TOP5比，NUS是TOP100，而你问的是TOP5，对TOP5的学生来说这个项目就是容易了。

申请双学位项目的要求比申请直接申请NUS的1/2-2/3奖容易。

而NUS的申请人一般与中欧的并列。

这个级别要跨越到TOP5中间还有个M7，TOP10，TOP15然后实际上不会比TOP25的MSU好。这里隔了好多级别了。
