我感觉得克服自己的脑海中的印象做这道题。

这道题想表达的意思是： 大多数失眠不像（so much as)由于别的问题引起的病症 那样的疾病或者身体不健康状况， 这些问题可能仅仅是由于对于一些药物反映、旅行的焦虑或者面试前紧张的一种反应。

不知道大家看懂没。。

就是说，失眠可不是我们想象的那样一普通的症状，它其实很深奥的，不是我们平常想的那样， 说白了失眠,他很神奇~~

A很好啊，so much as用法没错，that跳跃修饰前面的sympton,整个句子无比清晰

这样可能好理解句子一些

1.like不能表列举，排除BD
2.maybe太口语化（og上有这么写，新东方也有说看见这个就错），排除E
3.对比C和A，C中用了but感觉和A句想表达的意思不一样，而且C不简洁。

综上所述，选A

这里是两个略有不同的用法，很容易混淆
1. not so much... as ... (not 和so much是连着的) 是 与其说...毋宁说...的意思
e.g. The ocean do not so much divide the world as unite it. 与其说海洋是把世界分隔开了还不如说是把世界连接起来了
e.g. The glittering wealth of Venice was attributable not so much to exotic spices as to commonplace salt, a commodity Venetians exchanged in Constantinople for the spices of Asia. (这貌似是某个GMAT题(A选项)，不过没找到出处)

2. (否定句) so much as ... 这个否定句可以是含有not ,no 或者without之类，大多数时候与后面的so much as 分开。 但跟上面的idiom的不同之处就在于so much 和 as 是连着的
>意思可以是but rather:
  e.g. I'm not looking at her so much as I am studying her hat. 我没在看她，只不过是在看她的帽子
>也可以是even:
  e.g. From outside, no one could see so much as a light on in the house. 从外面只能看到房子里的灯而已
  e.g. He just marched in here without so much as a by-your-leave and picked a book off my shelf!
  他就这么走进来问都不问一声就从我书架拿书。 (注:without so much as a by-your-leave 是比较老式的固定习语，是do something without permission的意思，此处这个习语不是重点，只是为了举个so much as的例子)
