问了两个老美，第一个彻底晕菜，第二个斩钉截铁：wheat contains rice protein

翻看当年OG笔记，居然明确写明：rice protein contains wheat表达反了。faint，当年有此先见之明，现在却成了歪草一棵。叹啊...

1, there is logical problem here 'in C and D, the comparative structure higher in quality than it is in wheat absurdly suggests that rice protein contains wheat. '  -------> 'highter in quality than it is n wheat' should suggest that wheat contains rice protein -- wrong.   ETS is also allowed to make some mistakes:-). This morning, i did PS portion in math. In question 382, ETS asks us to find which is least, among A) 1/0.2;  B)(0.2)*2;  C)0.02;  D) 0.2/2;  E) 0.2
It says B=0.04, thus B is least, the right answer. I was completely  stunned by the explanation. And then I began to suspect my eyes, my abilities, ...  What the hell is this???
2, 'rice' must be the subject of teh main clause since it says '... having more protein ...' in the prep. clause.

OG 10th好像已经改正成C了。

我来试着理解一下ETS的意思:(个人理解,不知道对不对)

the protein (in rice) is higher in quality than it is in wheat会被误解为in quality 与in wheat平行.

the protein (in rice is higher) in quality 应翻译为:蛋白质在质量方面(蛋白质的质量)

如果in wheat与in quality平行,替换过去就是:蛋白质在小麦方面(蛋白质的小麦)

这里问题的关键我想是in在in rice和in quality中的含义的细微差别的结果,in rice是"在稻米里",in quality则是"在质量方面",与谁平行就应该遵从谁的in的含义.

罗嗦了半天,也不知道我说明白我的意思了没有.

同意4樓的看法，C、D中的it指代分別protein in rice 和 rice protein，變成暸：rice protein is in wheat，此即為ETS指齣的錯誤之處。

^_^，献丑一下，是我面对OG苦思冥想N次，硬憋出来的歪理，请批评指正：

（C）the protein in rice is higher in quality than it is in

(D) rice protein is higher in quality than it is in

这里比较的部分是in quality和than后面的部分，in quality是修饰the protein in rice（C）和rice protein（D），是表明一种性质，所以假设than后面的部分是正确的，那么肯定也是一种性质，所以wheat就变为了the protein in rice（C）和rice protein（D）的性质了。就有了rice protein contains wheat的解释了。
