In my opinion, among all the inventions which greatly affect human life computer and internet is of the most importance. In some country, people insist on the government should spend as much money as possible on the basic facilities because a large number of people are still suffering starvation, especially in African. The idea is strongly opposed by people who hold the idea that this money should be spent on developing computer technology, considering it allows us to speed up the procession of science development and gain great enjoyment from visual impact in a blockbuster. From my perspective, I totally agree with the latter idea.

 

It’s undoubtedly the process of science development is accelerating since early nineteenth. First of all, computers help us with such complex problems that math, physics and other disciplines encounter with. It would have taken several mouths to work out these intricate problems because our brains can’t compete with computers in the field of calculations. With the development of calculations, it in turn contributes to the advancement in the subjects mentioned above for the scientists can immediately get what they want to know on the screen and make sense of whether it matches the prediction they have made from a model. All these indicate that without computer science and technology we can’t achieve such far in the development of science and may live a life as what it came to be several centuries ago.

 

Also, computers have made it possible for computer games to be created. Numerous teenagers enjoy playing them and gain great enjoyment after they have lost themselves it the games by acting as a hero or a commander in the imitate world, where they can accumulate enough confidence through perfect performance though untrue in the real world. Those, who are not interested in computer games, also enjoy changes in the movie industry. Special effects, the new term due to the advent of computers, are common in every modern movies in order to achieve visual stimulation. Therefore, computers have become an essential part of our life and dissolved itself into our culture.

 

Though the advantages computers enjoys are considerable, problems still exist. It’s a prerequisite to gain enough money to cover all the aspects of life and have the ability to afford usual payment if we want to enjoy a higher standard of life. It’s not rare to see people, especially children, suffer from hunger and coldness through multimedia, like TV or internet. Some people suggest that it’ll be more wise to spend on human basic facilities because it may cause society disorder and obstruct the procession of civilization.

 

In my view, the advantages of spending money on developing computer technology outweigh the ones of spending money on human basic needs. The computer makes science and technology develop with a high speed and contributes much to the entertainment and move industry. If the government can invest more money to build basic facilities for people, I’m sure computers will show people more power in the dominance of current craze only after it’s possible for people to cover fundamental needs.
