模考里面的一个常见题之正确答案~但是我觉得很诡异啊……
It was only after KG became publisher of the WP that it moved into the first rank of American newspapers, and it was under her command that the paper won high praise.
这里的红色it指代的是谁呀？我觉得不对呀……

然后我选得是另外一个选项：
Moving into the first rank of American newspapers only after KG's becoming its publisher, The WP won high praise under her command.
我觉得虽然改变原句风格又去掉了强调和并列更诡异，但是相对上面那句更好点呀……

it指代WP,没问题。

moving和becoming改变了原句结构。

其实这句话在表达一个连续的三个动作逻辑关系，而且要用过去时。

KG became publisher of WP-------WP moved into the first rank of Amercian newspapers-------the paper won high praise.

楼主选的这个选项只强调了the paper won high praise，明显改变了句子结构

就像楼主说的，改变了原本的强调和并列结构。

而且after两头都是动名词，很牵强。
