收到Georgetown的来信！

心中一阵狂喜，颤斗的手打开一看，却是一封邀请信，说邀请我去参加the third annual Georgetown MBA Women in Business Forum。 哎，我还以为是offer来了，没有想到是这个。不过这样说来至少没有被拒。

偶收到了另一封信：Thank you for your application and interest in Georgetown MBA. You are considered as a first round applicant and all the necessary material
has been received and your application is now completed.

就是说：偶的资料已经全了。

我没有收到像shuzhen那样的信。我曾写信问过Georgetown MBA committee的人，说为啥你们不给我来封信通知我一下，申请资料是否齐全， 他回信说：
Unless you are missing something you won't hear from us.  
我希望快些做个决定，有了offer，我就不用折磨自己了。否则的话，赶快加快加倍折磨自己，寄出其他学校的申请。

the mail doesn't come automatically.  i asked whether they received my global priority mail.  they replied as I quoted above.  

if u use Fedex, most probably u don't have to check with the admission office, and u don't have to receive this mail.

Q: With application volume now lower at business schools [Georgetown had 1,963 applicants in 2003, vs. 2,900 the year before] is it an easier year for MBA hopefuls to get admitted to Georgetown's program?
A: It's a good year for strong candidates to apply -- we're still seeing very strong candidates who have a good sense of where they're going. As long as the pool stays that way, we can build a strong class.

Candidates should not become careless. But they can look forward to closer interaction with the admissions office and with students. With fewer applicants, there are more opportunities to get a better sense of the Georgetown community -- including more one-on-one time with alumni who attend our events and forums.
