题目：Do you agree or disagree，in twenty years there will be fewer cars in use than there in today?

 

 

With marvelously drastic development of our society as a whole and our environmental awareness alike, car is playing less and less significant role in our life. Therefore, I hold the view that there will definitely be fewer cars in use in twenty years then today.

 

 

To begin with, with limited resource in the earth, the number of cars is bound to decrease. As we all known, resource crisis, in reality, threatens the fast velocity of development of our society nowadays. Thus, cars, which demand a great deal of oil, will become a more luxury goods in the future for you have to pay for the dear fee of the oil. As a result, even the price of the car itself drop in some degree, the price of the oil will hamper its popularity. In view of this case, it will be more insensible to own a car future than in today.

 

 

On the other hand, nowadays, people commence to increasingly concern the problem of environment and thus the true that more people possess cars will actually does harm to our earth will, beyond all the doubts, hinder people's willing to owning cars. For one thing, what is obvious is that if we all take buses instead of taking cars, our environmental problem can extremely be eased. For another thing, in twenty years, with boosting development of our technology, there will be more transport means for citizens to choose, such as subway, air and the like. In this sense, the concern of environment will certainly overweigh the will of buying cars.

 

 

Finally, as a matter of fact, our concepts of possessing cars will absolutely change in twenty years.Namely, today, we perceive peoples who owning cars as a symbol of being rich and superior. Consequently, most of us equate owning cars to being successful. These kinds of concepts, however, can be utterly reverse in the future in respect that they are essentially misleading or even morbid concepts that drive a majority of people admire to have cars. In fact, we almost forget the original purpose of owning cars. That is cars are being made to bring convenience to people's life. It is not a sign of status, but a tool of human being. We should all correct our misconception and buy a car in a more logical way.

 

 

To sum up, the number of cars will decline in twenty years and just similar to bicycle, car will gradually leave the stage of society.
