No, only students in Acc get new Dell laptop. Finance guys have no office, no laptop, and no PC with not quite decent assistantship. Also, you can check the website, Acc students get 24000 for nine months, plus the summer assistantship.

Why? UIUC Finance has less funding than Accounting?

no idea. One thing is sure: Finance got more students than Acc.

Maybe you are talking about before. Starting from this year, first year Finance PhD got tablets, including my friend who told me that.

I don't know too much about the finance PhD program, but I like their seminars and forums..
