但是我以為such as是用來舉例子: such as 名詞, 名詞, and 名詞.
such [名詞] as [從句]是用從句來修飾such和as之間的名詞.

Just want to share what I found:
A GMAT instructor said that they are almost the same except that "such X as Y and Z" means that Y and Z are the primary example of X while "X such as Y and Z" means that Y and Z are just 2 random examples of X.
But he said that GMAT won't focus on such difference.
So yes, they are same in the GMAT sense =)

我觉得这道题我不明白的是，到底是用火做饭explain了人类的特点，还是用火做饭很早（almost two million years）explain了人类的特点，其实我认为是后者，但是如果是这样的话，那答案B就不是很准确。应该答案D更好用一些。表达了后者的意思。请NN们指点！谢谢啦。

貌似原文意思不能随便变得吧，新东方老师教我们说所有的选项最好跟A的意思基本一致，变了就不对了。

D 选项用了 fire （used to cook food 定语） could date back... 逻辑上不对。 date back 的是 火的使用，而不是 火（名词）。而且窃以为 explaining 于句末做伴随有歧义，究竟是伴随 date back？ 还是伴随 propose ？

因此还是 B 好。逻辑准确，并列平行，无歧义。
