sports and social activities 是否与学术一样重要以及拨一样的经费?
It is generally accepted that study is more vital than sports and social activities and most of college spend more money on it, but this opinion has been doubted by an increasingly number of people. As far as I am concerned sports or social activities are as vital as academic study and schools should spend same money on them. I will try to prove my point by the following ideas.
Sports and social activities can improve students' ability. Students can learn knowledge from classes and they learn other things from sports and social activities. They can learn not only sports or social activities abilities but also the ability to organize these activities. These abilities are useful and important when they graduate and go to work, maybe even more useful and important than the knowledge they learnt from class. To pay more attention on sports and social activities is really necessary.
In addition, a college can improve both their sports or social activities and academic study by spend money on sports or social activities. Interesting activities can attract a lot of good students and professional teachers for a school. It is hard to know whether a school is good at teaching students, but it is really easy to see whether a school is good at after class activities. Students would like to choose the school whose activities are interesting. Teachers would like a school which has interesting activities, too. Good teacher means high quality on class teaching.
A student go to school, his/ hers primary goal is to study. In this way, a school should pay more attention and money on academic study rather than sports and social activities.
Tough study is the most important thing for a student, sports and social activities can improve students' ability and quality of a school. Activities and studies are equally vital and should be spent same money on. |
