两个问题 关于duke面试的作用

我的toefl也到晚了，似乎错过面试机会了。。。。。

Thank you for your interest in Duke. We received your official TOEFL report in time.  If you are invited to interview with one of our alumni, I will send you an individual email by
the end of my day tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12.

If you do not receive an email invitation to interview, it means that we were not able to accommodate your request.  Please know that as interviews are not required for admission, your application is not adversely affected by a lack of interview.  The information that we askof appli cants in your application is sufficient for the admissions committee to make a decision.  At this time, no decisions have been made on any applications.

All decisions for round 2 applicants will be released on March 7, 2008,and you can expect to receive your admission decision on that date.

想问两个问题
1）有没有参加了round1面试，但被拒或waitlist 的么？
2）有没有没参加过面试却被录取的人呢

不知道Duke是否有没有面试就被admit的人。

There are current Chinese students who did not interview. Interview is not required. Hope this helps.

很清楚是决定录取与否的审核过程并不要求面试

有被安排到面试的很好

没被排到面视也不会因此不被录取

所以没有面试到也不用担心



面试有许多不同功用

资源与人力庞大的学校能够100%面试所有申请人

但有些学校由于人手不足或有其他安排

无法100%面试

而在申请文件中就已经筛选出决定录取与决定拒绝掉的申请人

但当有些具有竞争力的申请人学校担心他们会跑去念别间

因此与其面试那些一定会上或一定不会上的人

不如把时间与人力花在那些犹豫不决或有超过一个admission的申请人身上

运用面试的面对面互动

以及实际邀请准学生莅校参访感受学校气氛

可以有效提高准学生的就学欲望

但是，大多数人听说９５％都是面试过的．而且看到Ｒ１也都是面试的拿到ＯＦＦＥＲ的．

难道是说面试类似‘加分题’，没有面试不会有负面影响，但有却会加分。又回到我问的第一个问题了，1）有没有参加了round1面试，但被拒或waitlist 的么？
