没拿到OFFER倒也算了,可是一个面试不给我就太没面子了,我给OX的heather browning写了封信,她是这么回的: Dear Yiqun, Thank you for your email regarding the decision on your application for the MFE programme. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any detail on why your application was not successful, this is the policy of both the University and the School. It is therefore not possible for you to meet with Alan Morrison to discuss feedback on your file. As you are aware, the School suggests minimum entry requirements for the MFE programme - these requirements are not rigid. If this were the case unsuccessful candidates could see clearly how the Committee reached its decision - a basic achievement of the requirements would result in an offer and the consequence of any shortfall would be an immediate rejection. Instead, it is the case that all applications are considered by the MFE Committee and according to a range of criteria each of which bears equal importance. Whilst your application demonstrated achievement of the requirements in some elements, the MFE Committee considered that it would be inappropriate to make an offer. The demand for places on the MFE has been considerable - the Admissions Office is currently receiving seven applications for each place on the programme which demonstrates the strength of the competition. I am sorry that your application was not successful but wish you well in your career and any future studies. Best wishes, Heather. |
