Hi, jeanwan, can you share the post here?  I got Columbia status complete.  Still not decision.  Heard from BW, should be really quick. really want to end it no matter what decision is.

No wharton invite either.

在北美招的Chinese数字我们没有统计, 因为统计起来比较麻烦, 而且有些已经是US Citizen的Chinese, 和持Chinese护照的申请者应该是不能放在一个Pool里面的. 我自己目前认识的从北美招的CHinese应该还是不少的, 超过10个吧

I forgot the where I saw the number 4+, but found another one! 10+ is really encouraging! BTW, how was the interview?

Thanks, The interview was not bad, to current student.  As long as you talk your essay in conversation fashion, you should be fine. It is really conversitional chat. Two ways. I tried to read the essay I wrote in conversational way whenever I got a chance, and when you are in interview, it becomes natual, like you talking to your friend. You really need to convince yourself on what you wrote.

another thing, for columbia, they want you to show passion on Columbia, so express that.  show them you are very excited. Make sure Columbia is really what you want to go, the only school you want to go at that moment.

Sure, everyone has passion for CBS. The problem is whether they have
interest in you. They probably take your passion for granted like a
beauty -- too many ppl chase.

Ctian, just curious...did you use a consultant? you are based in New York, right?

hellokitty, I hope your interview with CBS went well. A follow up of jeanwan's question: when did u get the interview? did you apply for Columbia 2nd round?
I visited Wharton a couple of times, talked to a few chinese students who were admitted from NA. But i did not realize there are 10 of them very year.

not really, I used a lot help from my colleageues and some friends who went to the schools before.  They said my wordings need to be more professional.  so edit a couple times.   But I feel it is real me.

you have to show passion to Columbia. Otherwise, like someone said before, if you get higher GMAT, does not mean you can get in, but you get lower GMAT, definitely you know you will be out. similar thing here. if you show passionate as anyone else, does not mean you get in, but if you do not show you will definitely out.  Why applied then. anyway, that is what I heard Columbia is really really impressed by this.  They kind of obsessed with themselves.
