1，its到底是指代单数还是复数，如题A答案，是指代the restaurant company 还是指代many new restaurants ，

2，不管指代哪个，代入代词后是the restaurant company sales或many new restaurants sales，

    个人感觉应该是the restaurant company ’s  sales或many new restaurants’ sales才是正确的啊

    这样its sales是不是就表达不准确了呢

3，its如果指代单数，为什么不用it，如果后面加sales，为什么不是it’s    sales啊。

4，同理，its指代复数的话，加sales，应该是its’ sales吧。

没有its’，its是单数名词的所有格，it's是it is的缩写。
复数名词的所有格用their.
楼主可以找本语法书来巩固下基本概念！
