i didnt. you should write optional essay only when you feel it is really necessay. normally it is the reserved place for the issue you may have in your application package, i.e. gap in employment, low GPA, low scores, etc. personally, i dont think it is good to post another "story" to this slot as adcom expect you to reflect those information in the prior essays.

resume is normally in one page.

我没有写Optional Essay. 这篇文章标明是让你解释弱点或者gap用的. 可能和我本人的性格有关,我个人觉的一般越解释自己的缺点,就越给人感觉你要掩饰啥东西.所以我不选择写. 当然如果你的application package里,有一些实在很奇怪的弱点的时候,你又觉的你可以很rationally,很convincingly的告诉人家这个弱点的原委,我觉的你可以选择写.

对于简历,我是一页的.而且我特别把我以前那种密密麻麻的简历(求职用)改成了稍微宽松一点的.因为Wharton申请的时候, 表格里其实很大一块地方让你写JD了,所以你的简历里不需要过多重复了,点清楚你的responsiblity和achivement就够了.

对于写作字数, 可以超过多少呢?又或者要严格遵守word limit?

对于行距,字号,有何规定?
