非限制性

这些设备共同的属性是必须开和关，从意思上感觉差不多

是不是可以看成，插入语的位置放到中间而已。并不影响句子结构。

还是不太明白，我是根据平行原则推出that 是指the amount of energy 但我不懂得是，it 为什么指代the amount of energy used by visible equipment ?

没有其他可以指代了. that/those 通常指代前面提过的名词. 主句中 "lights" 是插入语, people 不能用that

which的话就修饰lights，就变成一个长的要命的插入语了，
