OG 8中的that用法

that是修饰的visible equipment

which的话就修饰lights，就变成一个长的要命的插入语了，

就是这样一个结构

visible equipment，【插入语+which修饰】，such as water heaters意思完全被破坏

今天复习到这题，觉得如果换成which的话应该是逻辑上修饰equipment,语法上修饰lights，产生了不一致

以上的两句话都是 《章振邦 新编英语语法》中的意思，那么在这道题中就是it和that 都可以的喽？

btw， 把E中的when 去掉就可以了吗？好别扭阿，请教大家了！

看到前人说it和that指代抽象 或具体一说，有什么根据吗？

好吧，我找到了抽象和具体的区别，不过og中说的是BCE结构不对，没有说 it 使用错误呢，请指教阿！

可是在GMAT中it和that都不可以指代句子，就如which不可以一样，我想这大概是符合表意清楚的原则的，GMAT的语法要求更严格些，而且it是指和前面提到的一样的东西，that是那一类，并不是同一个东西，但愿我说清楚了

it 和 that 不能指代句子

that修饰时，只能修饰先行词，

which用于非限制性定从的修饰，在GMAT中又就近和逻辑修饰，ETS希望这两个修饰能重合。

这两个是parallel的
