几个讨论Chicago Essay3和4的帖子中没谈到的。。。

看得CD上有几个讨论Chicago Essay3和4的帖子，但是读过后发现还有没谈到的地方，想和各位已经申请的和正在申请的讨论一下你们是如何解题定位的。

3、"If you could be present at any event in time, what would it be and why?"
1）你们是都把它写成一个creative virtual event了吗?
我有个理解：是否可以针对自己或者别人一个失败的经历，说说如果自己能在当时的场景里，可以如何通过自己的努力改变这一结局？
2）可是问题what would it be and why是否说明他们更关心为什么你要去，而不是你去了如何做呢？

4、You've been given $1 million to set up a philanthropic organization. What would it support and why?
1）这个$1 million有什么意义吗?你们是否说了如何具体使用这$1 million？
2）在解释Why和说明如何Run this organization时你们是如何分配篇幅的呢？

4. 应该是你的道德取向和社会责任感吧, 主要是WHY吧60%?
3. 还在编 觉得应该是工作才能的问题, 别的essay 没有这方面的涉及.

I have the same question Baobaobear.
I'm planing to treat Essay3 as a failure essay, since it's easy to explain the 'why' question this way.

有人说要将3和4也和Why Chicago以及Career goal联系起来，这有点牵强把？

另外，关于慈善的事实在想不出什么creative的点子，要不整点救助失学儿童，帮助残疾人这类的大俗话题。。。呵呵呵。。。

I don't think you should connect Essay 3&4 with Why Chicago以及Career goal, since you already have Essay 1 & 2 to cover those two areas.

Chicago wants its students to not only participate in school community during their 2-year stay in campus, but also wants them to contribute to GSB after graduate. They also believe an philanthropic person will more likely to do that in the future. That's what adcom is looking for in Essay 4.

Essay#3 is a flexible one, which you could throw anything into it. The school wants to know who you're in personal level. So, whatever personality you want to sell to adcoms, makeup a story to show it.
