Friends, please don't worry too much. The new dean's goal is to make Fuqua a true global business school. He is very friendly to foreign students including chinese. During the next few years, international students will be 50% (this would be by far the highest among top US schools) of the student body. There is absolutely no reason for duke to send less offers to chinese students, as long as the quality/quantity of the chinese applicants are high enough. For this year's new class, there are more koreans than chinese (please note the admissions happened way before the scandal), and Indians #1 as always. So I would predict the # of chinese in future should increase (again, assuming there is big/good enough applicant pool) in future given the importance and the size of the country. If you are concerned by the interviews, feel free to call/send email to the admissions office. Good luck! |
