The traditional view is that less applies to matters of degree, value, or amount and
modifies collective nouns, mass nouns, or nouns denoting an abstract whole while
fewer applies to matters of number and modifies plural nouns. Less
has been used to modify plural nouns since the days of King Alfred and the usage,
though roundly decried, appears to be increasing.
Less is more likely than fewer to modify plural nouns when distances, sums of

很明显这是比较题：找比较对象，又很明显对象是车，那么只有E可选。从句子的意思入手；注意选项的差别往往不止一处，哪些差别不大的介词副词形容词本来现代使用就很随性，生活中
没人照朗文来说话的，GMAC也是。

我觉得语义是王道。。。。

这题less of 不是我们平时看到的less of / few of. 而是more of / less of  的固定用法，意思是“较大程度上”“较小程度上”
这是白用语法对应章节的一道例题，是这样解释的

less of 在这里不是修饰后面的可数名词的，而是修饰前面的动作。这道题是白勇上的经典题，超级容易错的。

不能那么理解的~~less of 在这里和后面的可数名次没有任何关系，less of 只在这里修饰 之前的动作~~less of ,和less所起功能不同。
