Hi guys

Diamond,the most expensive stone on our planet,is always packed in a  small box.
So is the-bring-tears-to-your-eyes gift prepared by ada/myron which is short
but wraps up the precious and once in your life experiences which we will cherish for ever.
I got knocked down by that honestly speaking.
Again many thanks for ada/myron who has spent couple of weeks working
on it secretly.
What you two brought us is such a wonderful surprise that worth 10 bottom-ups.
This morning,at sight of ada/eric/kent's leaving, all of sudden i was struck by an

Academic Review and In-class Sharing

Dear brothers and sisters

Our mba life is climbing to the highlight and job hunting season is already at our hand. The past nine months have been so intensive and most of us would feel that it would be nice to have an opportunity to wrap up all the courses we have learned for self improvement and the job hunting.

Here are ten workshops I propose, covering all “hard” topics in the last year. plus, the title highlighted are topics most related in interviews.  a work shop will generally last 1-1.5 hours plus 0.5 hour Q&A and for any topic registered attendance is above 25, the workshop will be held in the coming days.

I am so grateful and impressive when I come to all the proposed speakers that we are such an all-star community and have experts in every aspect. Although some of the proposed lecturer still need their personal final confirmation. Let’s just extend our sincere gratefulness for their contribution to ckgsb and ck07.

Btw, attached is the registration list I will post it on the notice board today and pls tick your interest topics no later than this Friday for the sake of our logistics arrangement.

We are in Minneapolis now! 2008-8-21 (星期四) 17:38

Dear sisters and brothers

After a 17 hours trip departing from Hong Kong, we arrived Minneapolis finally. We are now staying in the temporary house and not easy to find an internet access nowadays. I believe that things will be better after we move to the student apartment on Aug.23^rd.  The orientation will start tomorrow and courses will start one week later. We would like to share you more the information here after we moved in the apartment and orientation finished, and you are highly appreciated to write or call us to tell any things updated in Cheung Kong.

We have arrived in US and everything goes well. It is very hard to find housing in Berkeley , but we are lucky and all have found housing yesterday. Please let us know if anything new.

各位兄弟,姐妹:

离开长江已经一个多星期了,好想你们.大家都还好吗?

我和X已经在CORNELL这里安顿下来了,一切都好,谢谢大家对我们的关心.CORNELL位居美国纽约州的ITHACA小镇,这里风景优美,人烟稀少,十足的美国乡村风情,不过马上要开学了,这里的学生可能会越来越多,我们也会越来越忙碌.长江的交换学生在这里受到了学院STAFF的关心与帮助.JO HNSON SCHOOL的老师对我们都非常NICE:-)

这里备注一下到美国生活的一些心得以备到美国其他学校交换的同学参考:

1.美国的食物一般比中国贵6倍左右,一顿平常的饭要6刀,如果想省下钱出去玩的话建议自己做饭吃.一般房东会给你微波炉,简易的刀具.其他的饭碗,盆子,筷子等东西就自己带吧.

2.我们这里学校提供的宿舍都非常的昂贵,一般要1000刀一个月(1人),这里的中国学生一般都自己到外面租房子住,直接和美国房东打交道.便宜的400刀一个月也可以拿下,自己有独立的小房间,不过洗手间,厨房,厅都是要和别人SHARE的,美国学生喜欢开PARTY,一到周末会非常的吵,喜欢安静的同学需要注意了.现在到九月头是开学的高峰期,房租会贵一些,等到了9月10日左右,新生一般都已经入住了,房租又会直线下降,200刀一个月也有人肯租,关键就看你的negotiation ability了:-)最后要注意的是,由于我们是交换学生,一般只住4-5个月,房东可能不会和你签那么短的LEASE,那么你可以做的事就是1.加点价钱,看能不能打动房东.2.继续找房子,直到找到肯租给你几个月房子的房东.3.SUBLET出去,也就是说先和房东签一年,你住4-5个月然后再找下一个房客转租出去.这样做房价可以低一点但风险较大,万一找不到下家,你可能就要自己吃进了:-( 我个人不太推荐这种方法.大家自己看着办吧.

3.美国有许多的大型超市,买东西非常的方便,一般超市会有许多的优惠卷放在超市自己的网站上,大家可以直接打印下来带过去,真的可以省不少钱哦:-)

4.到美国千万别买车,看上去价格很便宜(一辆2手的02年的宝马才8000刀),但是你是带不回国内的,转二手卖掉的话也需要等待漫长的时间,大家还是租车吧.一般一天只要12.9刀左右,不过每天的INSURANCE和PARKING FEE也挺厉害的,大家要考虑清楚.凡是驾照上有英文的可以直接用(纽约州是这样的),没有英文的需要到当地警察局做个公证,30刀.

5.国内的手机如果是美版或欧版水货的话可以在这里用,直接换AT&T的SIM卡就可以了,如果是国内行货的话,由于是三频手机,在美国往往只有三频中的一频与美国的波段MATCH,所以信号会非常差,户外还行,在室内往往只有1格信号,不如不带,在这里买一个黑莓手机,回国内刷成中文也可以用的,买前记得问问清楚.

6.MMR的两针记得一定要全在国内打掉否则到这里来的话,价格.....嘿嘿,够你在国内打十针了 .

就写这些吧,最后恭祝大家一切都好,个个都能找到称心如意的好工作:-)
