Below are my answers to some application questions. My opinions may be not proper for the specific case. Here I just want to share my thoughts in application with all of you interested in ND. Good luck to everyone! ----------- 1. It is my understanding that GPA is not as important as work experience, GMAT and essays because you are not applying research program such as PhD. Pay attention to the overall application package. 2. GMAT 720 is more than ND's average, so it is enough to show your academic potential for future MBA study. 3. Notre Dame is founded in 1842 by French missionary Congregation of Holy Cross. Notre Dame is one of the most prestigious Catholic University in US, however, Catholic University does not mean the less academic freedom or belief discrimination. 4. Actually, Notre Dame enjoys great academic freedom and encourages different opinions regarding various social, religious, economic and scientific issues. ND not only attracts catholic students, but also attracts people of varied belief and helps people find their own belief and discover themselves. Sunset, lakes, woods, Grotto, rings from Basilica and the people jogging, reading, praying or meditating constitute the harmonious scenery in the lake area at sunset during summer. 5. About Irish football team, it has a reputation of underdog who beat the No.1 Team in history. So I believe Irish will perform much better in the next football season. This may be “the underdog spirit”. Regarding choosing the candidates, ND seems to prefer the people who have potential over the seemingly brilliant ones. This may can explain why ND has many successful alumni in many fields who were modest and humble in university compared with their academic-excellent or athletic-talented peers. 6. To understand the culture of Notre Dame, I strongly recommend the movie "Rudy".
