why think about GC? this is my top question.

to me, it only means convinient, nothing else.

even you are a PR or US-citizen, so what? the blood in your body is still not American.

在大公司里。拿中国护照要做到vp, president  会很难的。even you hold some asia 护照, it does not do the magic too.

Agree with Emilydong. I don't see any correlations between GC and VP positions in companies.

Applying for GC can be a long process in some states like Cal. It may take 2 years, 4 years or even longer. Besides, there are limitations once you get them. For instance, staying in US for a certain time period every year. If go back to China, you can request for a 2-yr exemption. after that, you have a chance to renew it for another 2 years. but you must stay in US a whole year for the 5th year. (this is just what I was told. may not be 100% true).

But actually, it is true. From my experience. And also if you compete a manager position, a person with so called international experience wins over you if you do not have such experience.

I suppose some of us want to back China.
