There are a few Indian students with IT background in our class although most of them seem to have US working experience ( I don't have the exact statistics). Sloan is the dream school for many applicants with IT background. After all, the MIT brand is highly valued in the tech industry. In term of admission, I think Sloan is just like other B-school. The admission board wants to make a diversified student body. Since many people with IT background apply for Sloan the competition is relatively intense. To differentiate yourself from others you need to demonstrate your strong leadership and teamwork skills and clear professional track. Personally, I'm from the IT industry. I feel Sloan culture is a good fit for me. In fact, my engineering background gives me some edge to deal with the highly quantatitive courses at Sloan Jz |
