model after, 選(B)是沒問題。

但是the face of the statue after that of his mother and the body after that of his wife

è the first that should refer to “the face”, while the second should refer to “the body”

但語法規則不是『同句中的同一個pronoun，只能指代同一樣東西』嗎？

应该可以理解为这里是and连接的两个并列句子：modeled the face of the statue after that of his mother and (modeled) the body after that of his wife,第二个句子中的动词省略。
