Hey, all

I have a quick question for Essay 1, which requires the applicants to ASSESS their career progress?

I am wondering how to assess rather than just write about why I joined the company and what I did.

Do I have to give sort of valuation for myself?

just my two cents:

What skills you have developed in one company, why you left it (if you have served in more than one), etc. brief assessment will be enough because you will leave much room for your responsibility and achievements.

I am still working on its essay.....

Hi Everyone, I am thinking of preparing my MBA application for 2009 - US B-school. I haven't taken GMAT yet, and am planning to get it done around April next year.

My background is bachelor degree in CS and Economics in a top Canadian University, and MSc. degree in Applied CS on part-time basis. Currently I have 5+ years experience in wireless industry. My professinal work is more core software design. The post-MBA I am looking for is product management (marketing/strategy) or consulting in the industry by leveraging my previous domain knowlege/experience.

Do you think MMM program is good for me? what kind of candidates MMM adcom is looking for? Does my core engineering development background hinder my chances?

I don't think there's a cut-off line. You can check the school average to see whether 103 is too low.

Adcom asks us not to give any advice on essays. So, it's probably better to ask adcom directly.

Kellogg is very strong on healthcare, but I cannot tell you whether it's top three. You can check the faculty, the club and the job replacement to make your own judgement.
