See, if the avg of your class is 2.5, the highest is 3.0, and you got 2.6 but you are from PKU or THU and you are also not a Beijing local ( which means you might be the Top100 among all the Goukao takers in your province,) I don't think there's any reason to reject you for your 2.6/4.0 GPA once you can prove the description in red above are all true.
Well, I saw Taiwan pinyin here (It should be "GaoKao"). =)
Regarding GPA, actually, the one from PKU or THU is almost impossible to get a GPA less than 3.5/4.0, partially b/c the undergraduates in those two schools are super smart, and partially b/c the professiors there always give high scores due to some reasons.
This problem is mroe frequently existing in some technology- or engineering-based/concentrated majors or shcools, kind of my experience -- tough subjects and tough professors. According to my application experience many years ago and recently, I suggest the applicant put another so called Major GPA (mainly including your junior and senior grades), which might help your GPA get a better look, and it's also a way to prove you have good record in those tough technology or engineering background.
Anyway, GPA is only a reference factor for MBA recruiting, far from a crucial one. Try to pay more attention on your GMAT, Essay, and most important, interview.
For those who show interest in working in Shanghai:
BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Shanghai will resume building its Disneyland theme park after 2010, the China Business Journal reported citing sources. A source was quoted as saying that total investment in the projected theme park will also increase to 40 bln yuan from the previous 30 bln yuan. The park is expected to be located on Chongming island instead of the original plan to build it in Shanghai's Chuansha district, the source said. The Disneyland them park project was suspended due in part to fallout from the Shanghai pension fund scandal last year.
