Thank all of you for sharing.  All of the information is valuable!  Insead is my dream school.

Introduce my background first: graduated from mainland top university in 2002. Economics bachelor degree. 3years marketing in top US IT company and 2.5years marketing from china telecom provider. I have around 2 years overseas working experience in Europe and Asia.  My first question is do I have chance to enter insead under such a background? Second question is my GMAT score may be 700(not take yet). Can I apply under such not a high score? Third question is I plan to apply for round 2 of 2009 Jan intake due to GMAT/toefl exam time. Is there any difference between round 1 and 2?

2. Take the GMAT first.

3. Basically there is no difference between R1 and R2 in terms of the chances of getting admitted. A major benefit for R1 is that you will have more time to draft the scholarship essay, and do some preparations, such as logistic issues, visa, funding and networking.

very happy that i got admitted by INSEAD and they have
already offered me a scholarship up front.  reading this thread makes
me very excited about the INSEAD experience and lifestyle.  but i do
have some more specific questions that i hope you guys can help answer:
1)
recruiting: i wonder how to coordinate the best arrangment between
recruiting and campus switch.  i have chosen to started in fonty, does
it mean there would be fewer opportunities in Asian openings?  if i
have to go to singapore for more Asian openings, which period should I
be there?
2) can someone tell me about the job placement of recent Chinese intakes? is it hard to stay in Europe to work?
3) what is INSEAD's reputation in China and Hong Kong?
4)
I have met some LBS people and they believe being in London still links
up with more advantages.  How would you compare LBS and INSEAD's career
placement strength?
5) Can anyone comment about INSEAD's career services in Singapore? 
6)
Why INSEAD has been historically stronger in consulting job placement? 
Is it the way INSEAD train people? Is it the career service mock
interviews?  Is it simple because more consulting firms come to INSEAD?
or do you think INSEAD attracts more consulting background poeple to
start with.
