答案是D,可是我觉得E也有道理啊...因为可以把最后的"and heat"看作是和前面的to produce的搭配,而且逻辑上也讲得通:科学家们第一次成功地挖掘了地热,这些地热既能满足电力的产生,也能为工厂和家庭供暖...这样想不对么???请高手指点!!!谢谢

            for heating

and 前后连接的部分要平行，D选项就平行，且意思比较好理解

可是如果是E的话也是平行的呀(和to produce平行),,,是不是表结果的to do A,如果后面要平行的话,就必须是to do B,而to do B里面的to不能省?

1.原题",enough for efficient generation of electricity and heating."语法上and应连接两个并列的结构.而E中to produce 和heat 平行,改变了句子结构,从而改变了句意

2.enough for efficient generation of electricity and heating是表示to produce energy on a commercial scale 的用途所以for 后应接动名词 generating ,heating表示使用而不用efficient.heat状态性名词 表状态

3.enough位置改变修饰成分不同意思不同

如果选E,,,,逻辑上，因为是和produce搭配，因此统统无法享受enough for的概念，变成了：科学家发现了地热，首次能够heat factories & homes，和A的意思也相去甚远了。
