100. Some people think that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology. Other people disagree and think that this money should be spent on more basic needs. Which one of these opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.  

Nowadays, some people hold an opinion that governments should place the budget mostly on the computer technology. And some propose an opposite idea that governments should emphasize more on the basic needs of the public. As far as I am concerned , the latter view match what I agree most. In the following analysis ,I would like to present several points to support this position.  

 

To begin with , government should be concentrate more on the environmental problems which have greatly limited the development of  human-beings. With the development of modernization , human beings have been confronted with  a lot of problems which directly threatened the living of themselves . Among the problems are the rise of global
                temperature , the tornado happened not long ago in Wenzhou , and the endless rainy days that cause floods ,making countless lost of lives and treasures.So eager it is to protect the environment surrounding us . How can we place as much money as possible on developing computer technology? There are something more essential to do!

 

Moreover , in some developing countries , many people are suffering from hunger , many children have no money to support their primary education . Take China as an example , as one of the  developing countries , the budget of government is not so  much as that of the developed countries . To solve the tremendous population press  is more vital .How can we gain the support of the public to develop computer technology with so limited source of  money?There are some approaches more efficient to deal with the money.

 

However , we shouldn’t ignore that computer technology does do a lot for our daily life , for instance , computer enables communication throughout  the world , and  makes it possible to gain all kinds of information in a moment  ,etc. But what the government ‘s primary responsibility is to improve pubic facilities and the general lives’ level ,as well as the safty of the public .

 

Therefore , I strongly recommend that government should place more emphasis on the basic needs of the public , instead of using as much as possible mondy on the computer technology.
