When it comes to an expensive piece of jewelry, first some movies like << The Lord of the Rings>>, taking about someone striving for the treasure at any cost come to my mind. It is true that Jewelry is very attractive, but mankind has been paying the price ever since. All because we are tempted by something we do not need.
Of course, sometimes, jewelry is a must. For example, young guy buy one for betroth and marry. This time the jewelry is the symbol of the love and a sign of becoming a responsible man with great machismo and sensibility from a silly wild child. Except for this scenario, I will spend my money on a so-called short-term pleasure.
The first cause of this choice has to do with the balance of life. As we all know, as the society is developing, our life is full of a variety of new technologies, which have entered into our daily life further and further, on a larger and larger scale. They exert overfull stress on out shoulders so that our life becomes imbalance. Cell phone use makes the distance between friends and family become close, thus disturbing our peace. What we look forwards to every day is making self a cup of tea made of valerian root to cover our fatigue, anxiety and anger. Moreover, emergence of new media like Internet makes life difference. For example, I must face radioactive PC screen all day long to do my research projects, which directly result in my glasses. Under this circumstance, maybe a long journey, if any, is a best choice instead of some treasures. So, I went to the Busan, a beautiful coast city in Korea last year. On Oct 12, Busan international movie festival started. Outside the hotel, I could view blue sea and happy people, children chased each other like birds, young high school students digged out the seashells, young adult was lying on the seashore to get a tan. Inside the hotel, I could see a lot of gorgeous movie stars who I have ever seen in the TV plays. At night, when I went to the downtown, I chatted with the Taxi driver, and knew that in reality, real love affairs in Korea is less romantic than TV show, and the divorce rate in Korea is nearly the highest in the world. This is a disappointed answer but with pleasure, only because I was touching a different nation culture so close, which is the second reason why I will select vacation.
