打算逐一把自己不太有把握的题目写写，9月12号考，请版主多多指点！谢谢！！！

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Most people may have the experience that when you are enjoying a wonderful dinner with your families at weekends, your boss suddenly called for an emergency. Then you face the dilemma between two choices. One is to leave your cozy house and returned to the office immediately. The other is to say “No” to your boss, which probably lead to your loss of the job. Under such circumstances, most people would prefer the first choice due to the increasing pressure of competitive job market. There are numerous examples like this in our daily lives when people do things that they do not enjoy doing at all. Therefore, I, to a large degree, agree with the statement above.

 

In addition to the cases happened in the work, people also make some kind of compromise in their lives because of various reasons. For instance, spending money for what you like is always full of pleasure, but you have to keep your expense within your budget, which is definitely not an enjoyable thing to fight against your desire, however, you have to do it since you have to save money for future possible expenses, such as education, disease treatment, etc. Another case in point may happen between the parents and their children. Parents, who love their children more than anyone else in the world, invariably tend to help their children whenever it is possible. Nevertheless, it could be better at some time for parents not to offer their help readily for the children in order to teach the children how to face difficulties independently and courageously. After all, independence and bravery is of great significance for the future development of the children. Witnessing the children undergo difficulties, even face failure in desperation is the least thing that parents would like to see, but they have to, since this is the inevitable step during the growth of the children. 

 

From the above presentation, it is obvious that people, for one cause or another, have to do things that they do not enjoy doing. The causes vary with situations. It may result from the pressure of work, or it is in favor of someone else that make people do things they do not like at all. Life is by no means without obstacles, and during that long process people tend to make compromise for something better.
