既然都是CD 的人。自然不仅是high salary,更是一种成就感吧。有了MBA自然跳巢的机会就更多一点，机遇就更多一点。当然也要懂得把握机遇。换换环境，也换一种心情。美国的生活毕竟要比国内单纯很多，做事也轻松的多。本人比较希望过正常人的生活，上班是上班，下班是下班。不喜欢国内无边无际的应酬和永无休止的加班。

I don't think life in US is easier. If you join a top IBank or consulting firm, life can be nightmare. Even in less demainding jobs, you have to work in a different cultural environment and start from the very beginning. For me, life in China is much easier.

对于我来讲，读MBA不只是自己的梦想，还有着更多其他的意义。老公在国外，又不想F2的我，选择MBA是最好的出路。

所以应该说是为了爱情兼顾工作发展。

美国的生活毕竟要比国内单纯很多，。



Yes, US life is relatively simple, but you will soon find it is too
simple that you will feel boring very fast... :-) There is company
politics as well, but no one will think you can be part of it, since
you will just be a worker in their mind. Give you the dirty work and
they take the credits. That is their country, not yours. No matter you
have become US citizen or not. If you have opportunity to work in
white-dominated company, you will see the complexity of company
politics is even more than those in China. In China, you are in that
level to handle, here, you are never considered to be able to play
those politics... :-)

-- Not really. Depends on what job you do. Please try IB/MC here, or
even some part of Big-4... I guarantee you will never say this again.

Be prepared to work on weekend and on-call (of course, also depends on positioni)



不喜欢国内无边无际的应酬和永无休止的加班

After working here, you will miss those 应酬 in
China, since you are not in their cycle (most timely their party will
not include you. If it is, it is more like a polite invitation). Most
timely, you are cooking by yourself...  Feel lonely, right? That
is the life cost...



永无休止的加班

-- If you are working in IB/MC, you will be the same. Plus, you will
handle dirty work more, since you are foreigners... (sorry for the hard
words, but it is the truth -- even Indians are above you)

If one
has never come to USA (study and work), he/she may not know how the
real situation is. Some people may complain the work in China is either
hard or boring, when you begin to work here, you will feel life is more
boring (if in IB or MC, you will be as crazy as in China, however, many
Chinese students have no such luxury to work in these areas, especially
MC -- working in MCK, BCG in China may not lead you to the same
companies in US). Plus, in China, you can have good friends to relax
after
working hours, have much fun to sing Karaoke or watch movies with
friends. Here most your time will be "GUAN 4 SHUI 3" online and play
on-line games. You will never find so many interesting things to do as
you were in China, especially for those universities in small towns (so
as I said before, no one can cheat me to live/study/work in small city
in USA any more... ) If you are from big cities (I guess more B-school
applicants are from big cities in China), you will feel the new life is
much more boring than your past life.



Prepare to be lonely for a long time... :-) If you want to stay in USA for several years after graduation from MBA.



Cultural barrier is not like GMAT, which you can work hard and you can achieve
something... Your skin, language, and culture have already decided your position....



When I told to many friends, even those coming from Beijing for short
visit, they do not believe. But if talking to those who have been here
for long time, you will know the reality. Dream is one thing, reality is
another thing...

个人对第一个选择持保留意见甚至反对：“镀一层金，接下来发展比较容易”。mba不会把一个不优秀的人变为优秀，换句话说，如果你是优秀的人，你总是可以找到职业发展的成功阶梯，不管你是个是个mba.



Definitely agree! ==> Especially MBA不会把一个不优秀的人变为优秀... :-)

美国的生活还好啦。当学生没钱，时间少，当然谈不上享受了，这在国内也一样。不能拿美国的学生生活跟国内的白领生活比啊。

工作以后过过小日子，还是可以挺幸福的。而且，娱乐也不少，也不贵（跟你的收入相比)。朋友圈子也可以慢慢扩大和积累。
