Regarding career statistic for last year batch, the Dean of FBE has approved the report. For mainlander, average is around RMB 30,000 per month. For classmates working in US, average is HKD 60,000 per month. I think they will post it very soon. The reason of the late disclosure is because the new Dean just reported duty last September and he needed to catch up all the issues of the overall development of Business School, i think next batch would be very lucky as more exciting news will be announced. Sorry that i cannot disclose for the school now. As far as i know, two of my close friends in the class has got offer, include a top-tier consulting firm and bank. For myself, I also offered an associate position of General Management Programme (focus on their Asset Management) in ING. I will also have many interviews with consulting firms like Deliotte and Accenture. And the university career centre also refer me to have interview with Goldman Sachs. It is also very interesting that I have established network with AIG during the Singapore career trip, now exploring career opportunity to join their Mutual Fund team. Some of us are having interviews with McKinsey, already in a very late stage. I wish them all good luck. I hope the above can ease some of your concerns on career services in HKU. I do believe they have done a good job, giving that we have many good offers before we graduate, even before we go to London / NY. And they are very supportive, just like I would like to explore employment opportunities in Shell, and they have tried to contact them for me. |
