Who does not want to succeed? Especially in this competitive world, the eventual goal of each person is to be successful. How can we achieve success? Different people have distinct methods, some may consider specific knowledge is the key point, while some maintain that creative thinking plays a more important role. However, in my opinion, both knowledge learned by study and ability of creative are chief factors to success. 

 

On one hand, knowledge learned through study is the foundation of success. Without specific knowledge, it is difficult for people to hunt for a job with decent pay, because the first thing the employer will look at is one's diploma. Every employer wants to hire outstanding people, who will bring tremendous profit to his company, and diploma provides them the most direct measurement of one's capability. Therefore, it is the knowledge learned through study that provides one permission ticket to the way of success. However, this does not mean that specific knowledge will promise success, it merely offers people a higher start-line. To achieve success, the integrated application of one's knowledge and creative thinking is the most significant.

 

Consequently, the ability of creative should be also taken into consideration if one wants to achieve success. Even one has certain knowledge, without the ability to think creatively, it is not likely for him to succeed. For instance, in the field of chemistry, all of the scientists have specific knowledge about chemistry, what makes some of them to obtain Nobel Prize? It is the ability to think creatively. Like the Noble Prize winners of chemistry last year, without their sudden creative thinking, they would not synthesize the useful material, which speeds up the development of biomaterials greatly. Again, in the field of literature, if J.K. Rowling did not think creatively, can she create the famous character Henry Potter and achieve success? Therefore, without the catalysis of creative thinking, it is pretty difficult for one to achieve success only by specific knowledge.

 

In sum, as the demonstrations mentioned above, both the knowledge learned through study and the ability of creative play important role on one's success. As a person living in this competitive world, it is necessary to make good use of both these weapons too achieve success.
