这里明显不是讲他们有没有 timber and nails, 另外即使这个用法成立， 这句应该真么说：making them while having no timber and and nail更好些

这里还是省略产生的问题, 首先while having必然是省略了主语+be, 省略的应该和主句主语一样, 这里的making的主语是nineteenth-century settlers, 补全就是while nineteenth-century settlers were not having timber and nails. 一个过去进行时? 不Awkward吗?

我发现了C一个很大的问题，settlers used mud and grass to build their homes, making them while not having，第一个their指settlers,而后一个them指their homes,这是在gmat中不允许的指带错误，同句代词不同形式也要指代相同事物。
